Contribute Feedback What Mark S doesn't like about Mill Top Bakery:
Almost always out of buns if you go any time after 2PM! No kaisers the last 3 or 4 times I've been there. What good is a bakery if they never have the most basic items people visit a bakery for?Edit: five years later, still the same problem, just went in at 3 PM and no buns to be found. Anytime I've gone in this place the shelves are bare. Morning, afternoon, evening...bare. its a fakery!
After browsing the store, we decided to buy two cannolis as treats for later and for future parties. When we got home, we couldn't resist trying them right away. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with what we found—see the photos. It appeared that the cannolis were pre-filled on the shelf, but the cream was hidden from view. With my extensive cannoli experience, I expected the shells to be filled all the way to the ends, not just in the middle. What a letdown! We were quite disappointed and won’t be returning.
The food here is good, but unfortunately, my job prevents me from visiting during their great hours. I stopped by yesterday at 5:30 and found that they had already closed for the day. I can't quit my job just for croissants!
I frequently encounter a frustrating issue when visiting this bakery—there are rarely any buns available if I go after 2 PM. During my last three or four visits, there have been no kaiser rolls at all. It’s disappointing that a bakery can't keep its basic offerings in stock, especially the items that customers come in for. Update: Five years later, and the problem persists. I stopped by at 3 PM today, and yet again, there were no buns to be found.
Everything is delicious. A great local bakery.
