The usual Courmayeur prices are very high, and the gelato is especially disdainful: €10 for a large, 1/4-filled cup. The fries are soggy.

I had an excell... read more The atmosphere is small but very well-kept and charming. The staff is friendly and helpful, albeit a bit cold and distant towards the customers. I had an excellent purple cabbage flan and a wonderful chitarra pasta dish with fava beans and cardoncello mushrooms. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about the carbonada, which was overly spicy, completely obscuring the flavor of the meat, as was the gnocchi ragù. The plating was beautiful. The price was a bit above average for the quality of the food we tasted that evening.
