Undercroft

Description

The Undercroft, nestled near the cathedral, offers a mixed dining experience. While the ambiance is delightful, reminiscent of a storied locale, the service can be inconsistent, particularly during busy times. Customers often praise the exemplary coffee and recommend the cheese and chive scones or the coffee and walnut cake, but some food items, especially sandwiches, have garnered criticism for being too salty or inadequately prepared. Despite occasional hiccups in service and food temperature, the café's stunning setting and commitment to supporting the cathedral enhance its appeal, making it a worthwhile stop for visitors exploring the area.

We were the last customers at about 9pm one night because a show was on. They were packing up but still friendly and welcoming to us. And they let us stay until they need to lock the doors and go. Thanks guys!

Located across from the large Lego model of the Cathedral, this cafe/restaurant provides a peaceful haven in the middle of the afternoon. They offer delicious food at a reasonable price.

Unevenly heated food, nice staff, good place for a snack but not a meal. Good amount of food for value.
