I have a fondness for classic English pubs, and the Royal George is definitely one of them. The owners were friendly and hospitable. I was pleasantly surprised by the reasonable prices and the high quality of the food, as well as the attention to detail in cooking and presentation. We had a delightful lunch and had a great time. read moreNestled comfortably in the heart of town, the Royal George pub exudes charm with its friendly ambiance and attentive service. Patrons rave about the quality and presentation of the food, particularly during special seafood weeks that showcase generous portions of expertly cooked dishes. While the interior boasts a quirky vibe, some visitors noted a lack of atmosphere during quieter times. Nonetheless, the pub's reasonable prices and commitment to culinary excellence make it a hidden gem worth revisiting. With upcoming events and live music on the horizon, the Royal George promises an inviting experience for diners, both locals and travelers alike.
