The food tastes nice apart from Yorkshire puddings which are soft and watery. Nice quiet cafe just need friendly staff.

When we arrived at our evening buffet/disco venue, we were surprised to... read more We reserved Thames Diner to provide catering for our wedding buffet on August 6th, 2022. When we arrived at our evening buffet/disco venue, we were surprised to find that there was no buffet. This should have been a joyous occasion, but instead, I had to deal with the stress of trying to find a contact number after hours and informing our guests that there would be no buffet. It was very embarrassing. After locating the caterer, we learned that she had mistakenly thought the wedding was on September 6th, despite us booking and paying twice. Ultimately, she arrived with a selection of deep-fried food and bread buns, rather than the cold buffet we had been promised. The food ran out quickly. The venue informed us that the same caterer had forgotten a funeral buffet. When we tried to seek a refund, all she offered was two roast dinners. We are extremely disappointed. How could she have made such a mistake?

The coffee was weak and served with a tiny pot of milk to hide its lack of quality. The ingredients were cheap and the food was poorly cooked. The floors and walls were dirty and filthy. In any other location, this restaurant would likely not survive, but due to loyal locals, it will probably still be around in 20 years, just in time for a much-needed deep clean.

Ordered a Sunday lunch takeaway.First of all telephoned to order but lady said she would call us back.Waited 3 hours and no return call.Telephoned again and lad... read more Ordered a Sunday lunch takeaway.First of all telephoned to order but lady said she would call us back.Waited 3 hours and no return call.Telephoned again and lady said she hadn’t forgotten us and she would ring back.No return call.Called a third time and a different lady answered and said it wasn’t her fault .Our order was then taken and delivery promised for 11-30; to 12-30 on the Sunday. Come 12-45 no meal.Sent a message via Facebook and reply came back that they only had 2 delivery drivers and neither of them were back yet.No explanation about food.Message then received that other orders had taken priority.The food eventually arrived at 1-30 but we had made alternative arrangements.The food was kept to be warmed up later in the day. Eventually they offered us a free meal the following Sunday which we declined. This is extremely poor customer service and life is too short to be hanging around for food without being given an adequate explanation up front. We like to support local business but this kind of service is not acceptable.

Sausage was cheap soup was nice but was just warm. Didn't get my change from the price difference. Staff arguing about who doing tables. Place was a mess staff drinking alcohol and their friends sprawled around the sofas definitely won't bother to return
