The service was satisfactory and the ambiance was enjoyable. However, the food was average and seemed expensive. Paying £7.25 for a standard bottle of Peroni was a bit excessive, but I must admit that it didn't deter me from drinking it!
They say that you get what you pay for, and the food at this restaurant is exceptionally delicious. There is a great variety for vegetarians and vegans. The Thai yellow curry is absolutely amazing. Definitely worth trying.
I was a little nervous after reading some reviews, but we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food at this restaurant. The atmosphere was light and airy, although we were warned about the spa visitors in their white robes. It didn't bother us, although there were some interesting sights with some of the guests. The meal was delicious and watching the chefs in the open kitchen added to the ambiance. I thought the beer prices were reasonable until I realized that a 330ml bottle was the standard size, not a pint. Despite that confusion, we had a lovely evening overall.
Visited for lunch after having a treatment in the Spa. Staff were attentive, the food was lovely and very generous portions!
We ate in the Ozone Restaurant as part of our spa day at Seaham Hall Serenity Spa. The atmosphere is very quiet and relaxed, most guests are visiting the spa so almost everyone is dining in spa robes and slippers. Food was served quickly and was piping hot. Portion sizes are HUGE! We requested water and after quickly emptying our glasses, as we been overheating in the hot tubs outside! the server kindly left us with a jug of water to rehydrate. Prices are quite high, but the quality of the food would have been totally worth the menu prices (our 2 course meal was actually included in the price of our spa afternoon however . Staff were all friendly, helpful and professional, as always. Our spa day was disappointing as none of the spa rooms were actually open!? But our day was saved by our thai meal in the Ozone Restaurant! the best yellow curry we have eaten outside of Thailand! Our starters were both delicious, I loved my duck wraps there was so much food, I was almost full after my starter! but the Thai yellow curry was sooo sooo delicious I just couldn't stop eating even though I was full! My husband's green thai was tasty, but nowhere near as spectacular as the yellow curry : We are definitely considering returning just to eat at the restaurant for another portion of that delicious yellow curry!
