What User likes about Hays House 1857 And Tavern:
The story is compelling. The service was adequate, but it would be helpful if they informed customers upfront about any unavailable food items. The table legs were challenging for elderly members of our group. The burger was delicious and the pork platter was large and tasty. The facilities were accessible, with a staircase lift available for those needing access to the second floor. View all feedback. What User doesn't like about Hays House 1857 And Tavern:
The service at this restaurant was polite but slow and inattentive. It felt like there were a lot of staff members, but it was hard to get anyone's attention. Performed in a dinner theatre murder mystery show here and absolutely loved the place, great food and great people.
Always a great place to stop, friendly staff and good eats!
Hays House, recently reopened after a fire, offers a blend of delightful and disappointing dining experiences. While many patrons rave about the flavorful Angus steak salad, savory burgers, and excellent service from friendly staff, others have encountered slow service and uninspired, overpriced dishes. Ambiance and decor receive praise, yet some guests lament missing the charm of past visits. Accessibility is commendable, but a few menu items have drawn criticism for texture and taste. Overall, Hays House shows promise, serving up memorable meals alongside growing pains that hint at a bright future for returning guests.
