JP’s really deserves a 4.5 stars. The food here is excellent, and every server we’ve had has been very helpful and super accommodating and friendly! That being said, service was a bit slow. We had to ask for water and tea refills, but our server had a large table near us to take care of and she was really busy. If you get any of the daily specials, be sure to ask how much they are. What User doesn't like about Jp's At Pickwick:
our group enjoyed our meal. they forget the appetizers of our friend and served our salads directly before they pick up our meal that was not the same temperature. but we understand in the current time that they do the best they can. View all feedback.
Steak was cold. At 7 p.m. the steak was only displayed at 8 p.m. Ordnete it medium rare and got it almost raw and it was cold. Plates were dirty, waitress was hardly there, and men's bathroom was overflowing with garbage, water on the whole floor, as the toilet can have flooded. That was very disappointing for $107.
We arrived early for our reservation and enjoyed cocktails in the bar area. We were seated quickly, when all of our party of 6 arrived. Our server, “Red”, was full of personality and charm. We enjoyed interacting with Red. There wasn’t a fish of the day available, as they were sold out (7:20 pm on a Friday night) but a substitute was offered. We waited a little longer for our food, after ordering, but it arrived hot and very tasty. However, our only complaint is that our salads were brought out, at the same time, with our entree’s, not before. There was more than ample time for our salads to have been served, prior to our main course. Instead, it was all served at the very same time. But, we enjoyed our meal. We enjoyed our bartender, and we enjoyed our server. We will absolutely return. The meal was very tasty, and our server was full of charm, which made up for the few flaws in our night. For the most part, it was a really nice meal.
Server was very nice but a little distracted. We ordered drinks and appetizers. I told her we would like our appetizers before meal was brought. She did check on us several times, but had to remind her of a drink order. Appetizers came out and wasn’t very long food was out and we still had most of the appetizers left to eat. One of the grouper plates, the fish was not completely cooked and had to send it back. But when the plate was returned the fish was very good. Overall a good dining experience. Learned not to order entree until through with appetizers.
Blackend catfish was very good and baked potato nice and fresh. Oysters were very small and too much breading for our liking. Loved the fries. Salad was nice but you all need new serving pieces for salad presentation.....quality of the salad was good. Blue cheese dressing needs to be beefed up a bit.....thicken the dressing and add chunks of blue cheese. Overall for pickwick a nice new kid on the block. This place has potential as long as the quality of food remains very good. Based on this one time visit we are going to try the Taco Tues. so that should tell you something :
I’ve been here several times for lunch and dinner. Food is always great. Service can lagging at times but always friendly and courteous.
