La Chata is a great Mexican restaurant, very authentic. My family and I have been going there for years and now it is the standard by which we judge all other Mexican restaurants. View all feedback.

What Marsha W dislikes about La Chata Mexican Cuisine.:
Went for the first time. A+ for the decor and piano player. Both were outstanding. A+ also for the owner checking on how you are enjoying your dinner. But C- for the food. I don’t mind paying more for really good food but ours was just ok. The melted cheese on my tamales looked like it had been melted and then sat for awhile. The beans, rice and tamales were just a little warm in spots. My husband had the mole and he... View all feedback.

Love this place. There were lots of gluten free choices for my friend. The torta de elote was fantastic. Never had that dessert before. Just the right sweetness. Will be coming here again sooner than later.

Loved finding this gem. If you want a cozy, delicious, high quality food experience with live piano music, this is the place for you! Come take a load off and enjoy this unique high quality Mexican style restaurant. Everything is made from scratch. Don’t expect the greasy fried food you find at so many local restaurants. The price is worth the quality and the love served behind the dishes.

Fantastic, authentic Mexican food and excellent Margaritas. The owner, Letisha has been featured on the television series, Food is Love. Her tequila tastings are fun and highlight incredible, authentic, Mexican gormet.William Brown

Stopped in for lunch on. Saturday. I was curious if they were open as there wasn't a single car in the parking lot. They were. There wasn't a single customer inside and I was the only one the entire time I was there. Not a good sign. Good sized place with nice decor and very clean from what I saw.The first negative is you have to pay for chips and salsa. It's the only Mexican restaurant I know of that does that. One of the perks of Mexican restaurants is the complimentary chips and salsa! Here you'll pay $4. And they're disappointing. The chips were ok, but the salsa was very bland. I ordered the CARNE CON CHILE as my entree. The pork was super tender! The sauce on the pork was good, not great. At first I didn't like the flavor all that much. I don't know if it was vinegar in the sauce, but it had a heavy vinegar type taste to it. It did have a nice spicy kick which I enjoyed. The more I ate of it, the better I liked it. The beans and the corn tortillas were very good. For the price and the fact that you have to pay for average at best chips and salsa, I'd choose other options.
