**A Dining Gem: The Blue Duck**

Nestled in a picturesque setting, The Blue Duck offers an unforgettable dining experience, enhanced by stunning views and attentive service. Guests praise the delicious food, particularly the standout breakfast and well-prepared dishes, although some note the need for a menu refresh and interior updates. While the café's atmosphere suffers from noise and occasional maintenance issues, it remains a beloved venue for special occasions, from weddings to casual gatherings. The staff consistently impress with their hospitality, making each visit enjoyable. Overall, The Blue Duck remains a cherished location, combining culinary delight with breathtaking scenery.

The food here is excellent, the coffee is top-notch, and the views are stunning. I would say the breakfast is the best in Perth. I visited in March and tried several places that were recommended for breakfast, but this one truly stood out.

We got married at The Blue Duck in February, and it was everything we could have hoped for. The ceremony and reception were perfect. The food was beautifully prepared, plentiful, and cooked to perfection, and the service was outstanding. I highly recommend The Blue Duck for any events or weddings; you won't be disappointed. A heartfelt thank you to the team at The Blue Duck. From Stacey and Andrew Herbu.

Fantastic lunch yesterday. Simon our waiter has a terrific personality, he had remembered myself and friends from when we ate at the restaurant 12 months ago. Thank you chefs the food was terrific and just the right size portions. Just like the last 12 years our next annual lunch is booked for 2019.

We were excited to visit for the iconic Blue Duck experience, but instead we found a modern space that felt empty and noisy. The service was average, and while the food was decent, it felt overpriced. I wouldn’t recommend it, and I'm unsure if we’ll return any time soon.

I celebrated my 60th birthday here in 2021, and after my experience in 2020 when I had just moved from Melbourne and arrived on December 8th, I found this year’s experience disappointing in comparison. On the bright side, the restaurant was quiet with few patrons, and the weather was cool and breezy, although that meant we couldn’t enjoy the deck. The staff were friendly, but I had hoped for a bit more enthusiasm for my milestone birthday—perhaps a sparkler on my dessert would have added a nice touch to the customer service. Even a simple strawberry to accompany the sparkling wine would have made a difference. On a positive note, I truly enjoyed my lobster cooked in garlic and butter, though it was served in a more casual pub style along with chips and salad. My friend ordered the linguine with prawns and found it to be rather bland; she pointed out that it was supposed to include chili, but there was hardly any flavor at all. Overall, I think I’ll be looking for a different spot by the beach for my next dining experience.

The food was excellent, but the service from one specific server was lacking. There was a long wait for the juices, although I do appreciate that they are freshly made. The coffee had a good flavor, but the milk wasn't hot enough, resulting in a lukewarm drink. There's definitely room for enhancement.

Lovely setting unfortunately accoustically very noisey regardless of the building work still going on. Waiters very attentive. Menu exstentsive. Seafood board should be changed up a bit to not just have fried fish varieties and include some chips. Overall a good experience

I booked a table for my husband and I to celebrate his 60th birthday at The Blue Duck and we were greeted pleasantly before being seated at a lovely table outside overlooking the beautiful Cottesloe beach. Our food was very prompt in arriving as well as delicious, my husband enjoyed a glass of champagne with his breakfast and we enjoyed it all so much we decided to order extra drinks so we could sit in the sunshine a bit longer.

We had an average experience during our visit, having come for the iconic Blue Duck experience. Instead, we found a modern, empty, and noisy atmosphere, along with average service. The food was overpriced, though it wasn't bad. I wouldn't recommend it, and I'm not sure we'll return any time soon.

For desserts and cocktails, the options are not nearly as impressive as they were at The Blue Duck. I had high hopes for my 60th birthday celebration in 2021, especially after my experience in 2020 when I had just moved from Melbourne and celebrated on December 8th. Unfortunately, this year's experience felt like a disappointment compared to last year. On a positive note, the restaurant was quiet, and the weather was cool and breezy, but that meant I couldn't fully enjoy the outdoor deck. The staff was friendly and attentive, but I was hoping for a little extra touch to commemorate my milestone birthday—perhaps a small dessert treat or even a candle would have been nice. A strawberry served with my champagne would have added a lovely touch as well. On the bright side, I did enjoy my lobster, which was prepared with garlic and butter, though it was served with chips and a salad in a more casual pub style. My friend ordered the shrimp linguine, but she found it to be disappointing and lacking flavor. Even though it was supposed to have chili, she felt it was bland. Overall, I think I will look for another place to celebrate on the beach in the future.

The food was excellent, but the service from one of the waitstaff left much to be desired. There was a long wait for our juices, although I do appreciate that they're freshly squeezed. The coffee had a great flavor, but the milk wasn’t hot enough, resulting in a lukewarm drink. Overall, there’s definitely room for improvement.

Very nice setting unfortunately very quiet, independent of the construction work even further. very attentive. menu exstentsive. seafood board should be changed a bit to not only contain fried fish and some chips. overall a good experience

We initially booked the balcony, but the evening was pretty chilly and the staff made it easy for us to move inside. Great sunset that evening. My wife had the lamb chops ... she loves them .... she's a Kiwi! I had the Porterhouse steak, it was cooked just right, but I think the meat quality was not great. Staff always pleasant and helpful.
