What Chay S doesn't like about The Royal Oak Inn:
A terrible hostess who is way above her station. I have never been so disrespected by an ignorant women who thing she is is a landlady, she is nothing but a fool on a power trip, disrespecting her customers, and thinking the world of herself. Rude and I will never return. Would like to buy her out and put her ok the streets. Good luck. You wast of space. You never know who you disprove of until it to late. View all feedback.
Myself my partner with some of our friends and children visited the Royal Oak for a spontaneous lunch. When we ordered and paid we were then told that 2 of our mains and 1 of our starters were unavailable so we got refunded for a starter and chose 2 different mains, i feel before any customer orders staff should be aware of items of starters and mains they don't have available to save any time wasting of hassle. The basket which was brought out was severely rammed with cutlery, napkins, sachet sauces, bottle sauces and a salt pepper shaker. We ordered some starters for the table which took around 45mins to be brought out to us, and then a further 1hr went past to which we still hadn't recieved our mains. We ordered our food at 13.03 and by 14.42 we gave up waiting and asked for our money back. We did recieve a refund for the food we didn't receive and we were told there was apparently eclectic issues in the kitchen to which our food was so delayed which again i feel should of been told to us before or during our order to make us aware.
We were a group of around 30 people and were directed to the party reception room upon our arrival. The room was separate from the main dining area, which was perfect for our party. We had a dedicated waitress who attended to us promptly and our drinks were served quickly. The buffet was set up shortly after and was delicious. We highly recommend this location for events like ours.
Very tasty food and good service. The staff were very friendly and hospitable. They give a very generous portion of fish and chips.
Visited here, after a morning at O'brien McPherson Racing Stables, and made for the perfect breakfast spot. Roaring fire, super friendly service, and great coffee and breakfast.
I was searching for a place to grab a quick lunch when I stumbled upon this pub on Google Maps. It was clearly a favorite among locals, with some popping in just for coffee. Although there was only one type of ale available, it was excellently maintained and very enjoyable. The warm ciabatta sandwiches were filled with delicious home-cooked ham and served with crisps, coleslaw, and a bit of salad, all for a reasonable price of £6.50 each. Despite being very busy, the barman was efficient and the overall experience was delightful. This pub was a pleasant discovery for a Saturday lunch.
