Was moot at The Close a mag?
Booked lunch here despite some low rated reviews on this site and we weren't disappointed. The food was amazing and service lovely, especially form our friendly Slovakian waiter he was wonderful. The service charge is added to the bill but it can be removed on request. Not a cheap lunch but definitely worth it. View all feedback.

Dropped by for lunch. I feared the worst if I’m honest as we walked in. No sign of our reservation even though we had called in the morning. The place was very busy with seemingly very few working there. Here we go I thought. We ate here as a couple for a special occasion on a Thursday night. On offer was chateaubriand for two, with a bottle of wine for £70. We went for this and it was an absolute steal. For starters we had the peppercorn squid and cured salmon, both also very good. Would definitely eat here again. Service was also excellent.

We loved this hotel. Just stayed for the 2nd time and it was just as good as our first visit. Great location in the centre of Tetbury. Really comfortable, well equipped and good size bedrooms. Excellent breakfast, very relaxing bar area fantastic value for money for a mid-week break and really friendly and helpful staff especially in the bar and restaurant. Highly recommend this hotel and we have already booked our next stay!

We dropped by for an impromptu, one course lunch in this nicely appointed dining room, with views onto the garden. A luke warm welcome, no-one obviously in charge, but a waiter offered us a choice of tables as there were only two others in use....
