Pretty decent pub grub and a good selection of beers for an evening out right in the heart of Bourton-on-the-water! They have a lot of seating area outside- great for the spring/summer evenings. Maybe a bit difficult to get a table before 6pm on weekends,...but as the touristy crowd starts to go back, it becomes easier. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Kingsbridge:
This restaurant is in a great location and has outdoor dining options with covered tables. The cod was deliciously cooked, however the steak had a large chunk of gristle. The major disappointment was the lack of toilet paper in both the men's and women's restrooms during our visit. View all feedback.
Beautiful from the outside, but terrible on the inside, but what do you expect from a marston pub! we only thought of a drink and decided that we would eat beer there! everything was dirty and sticky, would not risk eating.
It's really hard to know how to check this pub. great location in the heart of Bourton-on-the-Water, right on one of the famous bridges over the windrush. pretty on the outside, but ugly and down. easy grubby feels at everything....tables could definitiw. do with a deep cleanliness. the staff did their best, but it was a very busy day in the village and the pub was filled in definitiw. this was not helped by the fact that they had to order at the bar, which meant that there was a constant wait of men through our table. a rather unreliable menu, although eating when it arrived, was actually well cooked and quite delicious. not a place to stay, but certainly not the day we were. I think there are many better places to go to bourton (although probably much more expensive)
Visited the pub, eating was great, personal friendly, this pub would recommend to any visitor. great old art pub.
This charming pub in a beautiful location is unfortunately overshadowed by poor service and unfriendly treatment towards customers. Upon arrival, we easily found a seat outside but had to wait in a long line with other paying customers to order at the bar. After a 15-minute wait, we were shocked to see that locals were served before anyone else, despite us being in line first. When I pointed out the queue behind us, I was informed that we were tourists. This lack of hospitality was very disappointing and a first for me in any establishment worldwide.
Went for a drink food, beer was good, staff helpful polite, people on the next table were taking food back to the bar so I was reluctant to order food after a visit to the gents saw the thick dirt on...the toilet skirtings we drank up left, obviously the importance of extra cleaning not an issue for the owners Average rating given for beer polite staff
