Description

Nestled in the picturesque Bourton-on-the-Water, this pub boasts a lovely exterior and appealing outdoor seating. However, the interior leaves much to be desired, with reports of cleanliness issues and lack of basic amenities like toilet paper. While the menu offers decent pub grub—well-cooked but often generic—service can be inconsistent, with long waits for drinks and food during busy periods. Patrons noted a limited selection of cask ales and flat beers. Overall, while the location and the staff's hard work are commendable, improvements in cleanliness and service are essential for a more enjoyable experience.

This restaurant is in a great location and has outdoor dining options with covered tables. The cod was deliciously cooked, however the steak had a large chunk of gristle. The major disappointment was the lack of toilet paper in both the men's and women's restrooms during our visit.

Beautiful from the outside, but terrible on the inside, but what do you expect from a marston pub! we only thought of a drink and decided that we would eat beer there! everything was dirty and sticky, would not risk eating.

It's really hard to know how to check this pub. great location in the heart of Bourton-on-the-Water, right on one of the famous bridges over the windrush. pretty on the outside, but ugly and down. easy grubby feels at everything....tables could definitiw. do with a deep cleanliness. the staff did their best, but it was a very busy day in the village and the pub was filled in definitiw. this was not helped by the fact that they had to order at the bar, which meant that there was a constant wait of men through our table. a rather unreliable menu, although eating when it arrived, was actually well cooked and quite delicious. not a place to stay, but certainly not the day we were. I think there are many better places to go to bourton (although probably much more expensive)

A bar with a view of the water. We decided to enjoy some beers while sitting on the terrace. It was crowded, making it difficult to find a table. You can choose to sit...

"We had a brief experience at this restaurant. When we sat down, my husband went to the bar to get a drink but had a negative interaction with the bartender. This led us to decide to leave shortly after. Perhaps next time will be better."
