Coffee #1 in Cirencester presents a blend of promising offerings and disheartening service. While the rich coffee and vibrant atmosphere stand out, numerous visitors have voiced concerns over the unwelcoming demeanor of the staff, who often appear indifferent and disengaged. Complaints range from unhelpful service and unavailable food items to incidents of verbal hostility, overshadowing the café's otherwise appealing menu. Despite the inviting selection of beverages and tasty food options, the overall experience can be marred by inconsistent hospitality, leading some patrons to seek comfort in nearby competitors. Improvements in service could enhance its potential greatly.

The service at this restaurant is always exceptional, with friendly staff, especially Marie, who went above and beyond to accommodate my specific order. They always get it right and do so with a smile. I will definitely be returning and would highly recommend this place to others.

My visit to this coffee shop with my friend was a terrible experience. The staff made us feel unwelcome from the moment we walked in, insisting we wait for wet floor signs to be moved before sitting down at the table I had requested. Despite not being near the blocked off area, we were scolded for not following health and safety regulations. We were then verbally attacked by other customers who turned out to be employees and their relatives. I tried to enjoy my coffee with my friend, but we were constantly whispered about and given dirty looks by the staff and their friends. When I inquired about the stares, I was shouted at and told I was banned from the premises for complaining. I tried to reason with them but it was clear the staff was overwhelmed and unfriendly. This was the worst hospitality experience I have ever had. I felt embarrassed and did not deserve the treatment I received. I will not be returning to this coffee shop, especially if the rude staff members are working.

I decided to give Coffee #1 in Cirencester a try because the first cafe I wanted to go to was too busy, and also because I generally prefer Coffee #1 over other chains due to their superior coffee quality. The coffee here was excellent and the atmosphere was nice. However, what really brought the experience down was the staff. While I don't expect to be greeted like an old friend, a simple smile would have been appreciated. The young man who took my order seemed disinterested and barely said a word. I understand that it may not be the most exciting job, but if you're going to work there, at least try to appear welcoming. The girl who made my coffee was too busy chatting with another staff member to acknowledge me. Despite the lackluster service, the coffee was still good.

I used to come here almost every morning very early to study. The staff were always lovely, I had my favourite table by the big windows, and I could easily block out the background music with my headphones so that I could concentrate. But a new manager has started who plays the music SO LOUDLY that it's really distracting and creates an unpleasant atmosphere (I mean, is loud jazz right for 7 in the morning? . It's a real shame because I used to love starting my day here but I won't be going back until they turn the music down a bit.

Every time I have visited over the past few months they have been using takeaway cups. I went on a Saturday at lunchtime recently and the fridge had no food! I am also never able to order porridge for some reason laziness? The cafe is always empty as people favour Caffè Nero down the street or nearby independent cafes.
