We were a group of ten, including 4 children and two individuals with celiac disease, and our waitress Sarah was amazing. Thank you!
Our family of 6 enjoyed a Sunday lunch at this restaurant while staying at Cotswold Water Park to celebrate a special birthday. We were a bit disappointed that they had run out of roast beef, but the roast chicken, fish dishes, and burger we ordered were all tasty. The sharing board for 4 was delicious, and the fish cakes for 2 as starters were very good. The staff was friendly and provided good service. We sat in the garden afterward and enjoyed a drink as they were preparing to close, which was a nice way to end our meal.
Pleasant restaurant with helpful staff. Overall a good experience let down, in my case, by chewy lamb with some stringy bits. Others enjoyed their food including the lamb.
The waiters were really kind and they all hoped that you have a good meal. And the food was amazing even when I had gluten free it still was really good. And getting seated was fast. It was a good experience.
The service at this restaurant was excellent and very friendly. However, we were disappointed with the food. The burgers were greasy and the risotto did not come with goats cheese as advertised. On a positive note, the kids' meals were tasty.
At Ballihoo, located within the scenic Lower Mill Estate, diners can expect a mixed experience. While the service garners praise for its warmth and attentiveness, the food quality is often criticized as average and overpriced, with a surprising lack of basic offerings. Such shortcomings are notable in a venue catering to vacationers. However, some guests rave about the delicious takeout options and highlight special touches, like personalized desserts and friendly interactions. The setting, stylish and relaxed, is enhanced by nearby family-friendly amenities. Despite its flaws, Ballihoo holds potential for enjoyable moments, especially for casual drinks and special occasions.

Well presented restaurant and friendly service. Good coffee. Had a sharing board which was very nice. Only reason not full marks is the service charge added on even when paying up front for something, doesn’t feel quite right.
Had to buy 6 eggs from the shop as forgot to get them at supermarket. £4 for 6 eggs! If you want to feel ripped off this is the place for you.
Absolutely fantastic food, location, atmosphere and staff! Could not fault it! We had dinner on a Saturday night which was delicious and a great buzz in the restaurant! Drinks are expensive but food is good value for the taste and portion size. We also Had Sunday lunch here with friends a party of 8, the roasts were incredible really fresh, huge portions, rare roast beef with a lovely selection of vegetables a real treat! The staff could not have been better, they were so attentive and friendly with amazing service! You made our break thank you so much
Came here whilst staying on the estate, for lunch. Party of 9 booked for one o'clock Ordered drinks which are not cheap Expect to pay £6.95 for a pint of Estrella and about £32 for a bottle of red wine Ordered various starters and three children's meals to arrive at the same time . Starters were of a reasonable standard Then waited an hour and five minutes for adult main courses to arrive. Wrong main course was sent to me , Ordered cod and was given a pork chop! Agreed to have the pork chopped provided I wasn't charged. Pork chops were cold! Other main courses were hot! Ordered childrens ice creams and three cocktails. Whilst waiting for drinks and ice creams, told by the manager, we need your table in 15mins. This was unacceptable especially whilst waiting for our cocktails £36 for three and ice cream. Manager made aware of this and did discount the bill by25%. It should be noted that our order was behind a party of 22 who came in after us. Also the chef has a legal duty to serve any hot food above 63°c, which aspects of ours did not even reach and the staff need to be aware of timings At best the food is average and overpriced! Will not revisit
We were a group of five ladies staying at one of the cottages on the estate. We ate outside at Ballihoo for lunch on a very sunny Saturday in October 2023. We had the sharing platter and a side of fries between us. Very tasty mix of breads, hummus, spicy sausage, olives, dipping oil etc. We all thought it was good quality and enough to act as a light lunch for us all. The waitress was particularly helpful and considerate sorting out a slight mixup with our drinks efficiently and without fuss. We then decided to pick up dinner from there that evening and have it as a takeaway. I spoke to Zahra to place our order and she was absolutely lovely and so helpful a real asset to the establishment. Again we all thought the food was wonderful. Two of our group had beef stew and dumplings beef was super tender, gravy was a rich reduction, dumplings were light and moist. Another group member had the plaice loved it! Another had the beef burger again highly rated. I had the cauliflower, walnut and chickpea burger with fries. Very, very tasty and an unusual vegetarian option that made a great change. Overall we were so impressed by the quality and taste. We had originally planned to get a takeaway curry from somewhere else but we’re very glad we didn’t because the food from Ballihoo really exceeded anything else we might have bought. Well done and thank you to all the team there!

On the second night, I accidentally water damaged my phone. I went back to Balihoo to see if they had any rice (a legendary trick for saving water-damaged phones, according to Google). Despite being busy, a worker kindly offered me a tub full of rice to help save my phone. He refused to accept any payment and instead just wished me well. Thanks to Balihoo's help, I was able to save my iPhone by leaving it in the rice overnight. They went above and beyond to help me, saving me £800 in the process. I cannot thank the employees enough for their exceptional service. 10/10 for me.
The food was delicious, but a bit pricier than I had anticipated, especially for a whole family. The staff was very efficient and friendly.
We frequently visit Le Mirage at Lower Mill Estate and always choose Balihoo for a meal. The dining experience is consistently excellent, with friendly staff and a dog-friendly atmosphere. We have also tried their takeout pizza, which is delicious and authentic. I highly recommend it.
Brilliant place, beautiful decor/atmosphere, delicious food incl. extensive vegan menu and the service was fantastic, great with our children and as an adult.

The staff and kitchen at this restaurant are very knowledgeable about coeliac disease. Gluten-free options are clearly marked on the menu, but keep in mind that the availability of these options may vary depending on the season. The food is delicious and there are plenty of dessert choices beyond just sorbet. I have dined here multiple times and have never encountered any issues. Please note that this restaurant is exclusive to guests of LME Holiday Estate.
The menu at this restaurant is excellent. As a vegan, I appreciate having multiple gluten-free options available. I will definitely be returning in a few days. It's worth noting that this restaurant is located on a gated holiday property and is dog-friendly.

The menu at this restaurant is excellent. I usually prefer to eat vegan, but there are very few gluten-free options that are also vegan. However, at this restaurant, I had a lot of choices. We will be returning in a few days. Please note that the restaurant is located within a gated holiday home estate and is dog-friendly.
