quality food at a somewhat reasonable price. most sandwiches are around $12. the portions are not huge, but eating is so rich that they eat slowly and it ends, fill them up. they also have a lot of beer, but only two wee (chardonnay and malbec). I highly recommend making a beer flight so that they can experience several of their delicious beers in one session and then decide which ones they like most! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Iron Press:
Ok, so first off the food here is super rich, so order less than you think. Second, I would always recommend dipping your waffle in syrup even if it's savory, because they really have the sweet/savory thing down. Some of the best fried white meat chicken I've ever had. Seriously fried to perfection. Do yourself a favour and go! View all feedback.
Excellent food, and a surprisingly interesting selection of beer. Reasonable sized portions, but its still waffles so you end up pretty full. A tad on the expensive side, but its in hipster-land so to be expected. I had the country fried chicken gravy which was great, also tried a few bites of one of the sandwiches which was good but a little bit too heavy on the pesto for me to want to eat the whole thing.
I enjoy the atmosphere at the iron press. they are solid, not yet cooked. for the turkey company sandwich they use a crimped waffel that is supplemented by the garlic aioli.

It seems that waffle sandwiches are all the rage now. I sat at the bar, and Johnny, one of the co-owners, welcomed me. Since it was my first visit, he gave me a quick overview of the menu, suggesting the beer on tap and the sandwiches he highly recommended. As a fan of chicken and waffles, I decided to go with his suggestion. The waffles were thick and came with jalapeño syrup, and the chicken was fried, served in strips. It was delicious and reminded me of going to the Hash House, but in a more manageable portion. They sell sandwiches and sides separately, so no combo meals here. Overall, I’d definitely return. I need to try their burger, which looked amazing!
