Beach Taco Shack - Coronado

The prices here are unreasonable for mediocre food. Just paid $13.50 for a single birria and shrimp taco and $7 for a 12oz Diet Coke! Even in Coronado, you can find better prices elsewhere for better food.

Such a beautiful space to enjoy food, drinks, and the beach.

I was really hopeful that this would be a nice spot to grab a drink and a few tacos.Seeing the prices and not having the theme park or concert feel I was sad.Sure, you can take your food and drinks and sit on wood stools on the beach, but I can do that in my own chair and save $50. 2 tacos, one beer and chips...$14 beer. Taco is individually priced. I had the fish taco, which was gross, overcooked, and nasty flavor we did not finish.This could be so much nicer if the quality matched the pricing!My guy works too hard for me to spend his money recklessly!

In the afternoon we booked 2 sun loungers with umbrella on the beach for 50 dollars each which included beach bar service. The hostess/receptionist lacked any kind of customer service skills and was quite unfriendly and rude. As we were paying at check in, she presented us with a tip option on the screen which I declined as I couldn't see how this type of rude, 60 second service, would warrant any type of tip. She then practically threw the receipt at me which of course validated the above. Scott our server on the beach was the complete opposite and very nice and friendly. I was quite shocked at the drinks price though- a vodka and orange juice cost 25 dollars and a Sprite cost 10 dollars. Great location but this on top of the 100 dollars we already paid for the loungers was quite steep

Pricey but worth it. Enjoyed the tacos and margarita.
