We made a reservation for a Christmas meal on the Sunday before Christmas and chose our dishes from the menu in advance. We stopped by this restaurant on a whim while exploring, and it was a pleasant surprise. The portions were very generous and everything tasted homemade. I had a delicious cheese and ham sandwich, followed by a sizable and tasty round cake. However, the highlight was the incredibly friendly staff who made us feel welcome and went out of their way to accommodate families. They even set up a separate table for the children and interacted with them kindly. Thank you for a wonderful experience. I highly recommend visiting this charming tea shop to relax and enjoy yourself.
This restaurant is fantastic. I had an incredible cream tea with delicious fruit scones that were handmade by Alison. The service was exceptional and quick, and the coffee was just right. As we were leaving, I inquired about their hours in October and was delighted to hear that they will be open year-round. This is great news, as I plan to visit again for another cream tea after a walk to the Golddiggers Quarry in October. And, they are dog-friendly too!
I had a delicious blackcurrant clafoutis and a large cup of coffee at this quaint tea room today. Most of the cakes are homemade, but the gluten-free cakes are purchased to prevent cross-contamination. I will definitely return, especially after a nice walk. They had some tempting soups on the menu as well as toasties, all of which I am eager to try, especially if they are as good as the clafoutis.
We went for a stroll and stumbled upon this charming restaurant. The staff was friendly, the prices were very reasonable, and we would definitely dine here again the next time we go for a walk.
We made a reservation for a Christmas meal on the Sunday before Christmas and chose our dishes from the menu in advance. However, when we arrived, we had to select our food again and were disappointed to learn that one of the desserts had already run out. The table was reserved for us, but the soup was served without a spoon and the bread roll was in a cellophane bag, which was a first for us. The meal was not very hot and the quality was lacking. Personally, I did not enjoy the tinned carrots and gravy with the texture of wallpaper paste. Overall, it was an experience I do not wish to repeat.
