We have visited this restaurant at many places while on holiday. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The store is impressively well-stocked for a small village, offering a variety of fresh and frozen products. They also sell the best cornbread, which I believe is homemade by a lady on the premises. What sheilamD4384UD doesn't like about Ruan Minor Post Office Store:
The older lady who works in this shop needs to be taught some good manners on how to speak to her customers. We are visitors to Ruan Minor which is a lovely village, sadly let down by the rudeness of the lady who works in the local post office/shop. It is obvious that visitors are not welcome, as I can’t believe that local people would accept be spoken to as she speaks to visitors. We visit the Lizard part of Cornwal... View all feedback.

Every time I visited this "Aladdin's cave," the staff were warm and friendly.
Spent a week in Ruan Minor and frequented the Post Office Store Cafe several times. The staff and owner were always very friendly and polite and made us welcome each time. We even had a superb breakfast there this morning which set us up for the day. As a retired Public Health Practitioner I found the place clean and hygienic and would be happy recommending this shop and food premesis. One can only speak as you find.

We visit the Lizard part of Cornwall regularly but will never give this shop a penny of our money or step inside the shop again. Dreadful lady.
This review will no doubt be responded to by the owner in the same way other negative reviews have been responded to defensively and blaming the customers. Believe me SHE is in the wrong and the terrible reviews are accurate. The shop is a mess. I 'm genuinely not surprised someone in here had an accident. Credit for being Covid aware (some would say overly aware, but it 's up to a shop owner what precautions they would like to take). But the Covid measures are a bit of a joke when stock is all over the place and hygiene standards aren 't adhered to (the shop is dirty and smells a bit funny). Ignoring that as we needed a few urgent supplies, we bought a few provisions including snacks and drinks. There are tables right outside the front of the shop, and as we 'd bought from the shop we assumed they were for customer use and sat at one to quickly eat the snacks. The owner came tearing out of the shop (literally) and shouted at us to move away. These tables are for the cafe, you will need to move away! . No one else was sat at any of them. If the 'cafe ' was open you wouldn 't have known. There were no signs saying that was the case with the tables. If we were mistaken, a polite 'I 'm really sorry but these are for cafe customers only ' in a gentle, friendly tone would have done the job. But no, she chooses to be INCREDIBLY rude and surly to newcomers to the area (it was our first day here) who genuinely didn 't realise. We 're here for two weeks. She won 't be getting a penny more from us. And that very evening I had a terrible stomach and the poorly stored quiche I bought from there was the only thing I 'd eaten. Make of that what you will.
