We were shocked to find that an area with such rich history had nothing more to offer than a baguette and terrible customer service. We rarely leave reviews on TripAdvisor, but this place was a complete insult to the area and its visitors.

We were not greeted upon arrival, only told to move our bike. They only serve coffee, not iced tea, and you have to request a cup with your drink. The prices were high, expected for the location, but what bothered us most was the arrogance of the Australian waitress. A reminder that customers pay the bills would be appreciated. We will not be coming back. We left quickly, feeling disappointed.

It’s positioned at the bottom of the hill opposite the turn off to walk down to the beach. Staff are friendly and while the menu was limited the food was very nice. We have tried the cream tea, Cornish pasty, baguette and also ice creams from the ice cream bar. The outdoor seating area is lovely and a great spot to sit and unwind. There also beach supplies inside. A really nice little cafe that I’d fully recommend stopping for brunch or refreshments. Beers, wine, cider are also served and I’d recommend the Muscle pot white wine for those who enjoy a nice cold Sauvignon.

After a... read more If you're planning to visit Portcurno Beach, make sure to bring your own food and drinks. The service is terrible and the prices are ridiculously high. After a long walk along the coast path, we were in need of a drink and a meal. We were charged £4.60 for a piece of cake and £6 for a tasteless frozen pasty. The menu is extremely limited and the staff were unfriendly and robotic, not offering a simple hello or asking how we were. We will not be going back and would advise others against visiting as well.
