Pizza Delight - Cornwall
Pizza Delight
Description
Pizza Delight offers a range of experiences, with some diners left disappointed due to inconsistent service and food quality. While some praise the tasty pizza and prompt service, others recount frustrations with rude staff and unsatisfactory meals, including hard burgers and improper orders. Complaints about atmosphere and service flexibility, particularly for neurodivergent guests, also emerged. Despite the negative experiences, some guests still find solace in their consistent offerings and appreciate the cleanliness of the venue. Overall, while there are redeeming qualities, potential diners should consider these mixed reviews before visiting.

The service was excellent. I went to pick up a pizza to take home without calling ahead, so I had to wait the full preparation time at the restaurant. Even though the restaurant was empty, I only had to wait about 10 minutes to receive my order. The food tasted delicious. The restaurant was clean and there are benches for customers who need to wait for takeout orders. There is also a bread station for dine-in customers. I would definitely recommend this place.
I have visited this restaurant many times, especially to order from the children's menu. I prefer smaller portions and simple meals as an autistic person, and it's comforting to know I can get what I want. However, tonight was a different experience. I ordered my regular meal as usual, but a random employee told me I couldn't order from the children's menu. When I explained that it's all I've ever ordered, they said they weren't allowing it tonight. I was embarrassed and won't be returning. I suggest other neurodivergent individuals avoid this restaurant due to the lack of understanding and flexibility shown towards me today.
We waited approximately 50 minutes for our food without being informed of the delay. The meal was underwhelming, especially the hand-held donair which had very little meat on it and did not justify the price. It seems like this place cuts corners on quality. We do not plan on returning, especially since there was no apology for the long wait.
The waitress was excellent, but having only one person working during the shift is unacceptable. Management needs to do better - the poor girl was struggling to run the kitchen and wait on tables. They should be ashamed of themselves. If I arrived at work and had no help, I would have walked out and left the place empty.
This was not our first time at a Pizza Delight, but it was our first time at this particular one. We were the only customers there on a Sunday afternoon around 3 o'clock, and there was only one person working. It was a bit awkward since we were expecting more staff. The food was okay, but we have had much better from other Pizza Delight locations.
