Joey's Restaurants - Cornwall

I made a reservation online (no choice for 6 of us for a Birthday celebration. I wanted a booth, but did not see a seating option online. The day before our date, I got a 'reminder '??!! The message also informed me that because they are very busy we would have 2 hours to eat! I don 't need a reminder, I made the reservation! What if I 'm a slow eater? Already I felt that they really just wanted my money and then I could move on. When I arrived, I asked for a booth but was told they were all reserved. It was 4:00, the restaurant was almost empty! When I asked about how I could have reserved on and the young woman looked at me with some disdain saying 'there is an edit button on the reservation site ' and that 'you were called to remind you of the time and you could have asked then '. We were seated at a large table and waited on b y a lovely young guy (Michael I think He came to take our order with a tablet!! He mentioned it was a new thing and really worked hard to get everything right. My son always orders something complicated! The poor waiter could not even make eye contact with us as every little item had to be keyed in! e got complimentary champagne, which was most appreciated! When the food came, there were several errors (technology??? which they worked very hard to rectify. The wait staff was GREAT as was the food! The dessert came, decorated and with a candle which was a lovely touch. This came just over the 2 hour mark and I wondered if we would be asked to take it 'to go ', but the restaurant was still not that busy. There were at least 3 booths sitting empty! I won 't rush back as the food is quite expensive, and I understand why. (the steak menu is ridiculous though and if I am spending that kind of money I will do so at a venue that treats people like guests, not like dollar signs.

We ate at that restaurant a few times. It is not a fancy restaurant but there is a good atmosphere to it. The food is quite good but there is a lack of consistency in the size of portions being served considering our various visits. On our last visit, service was not very good and the waitress definitely had an attitude and was not friendly at all. It took about 15 minutes for the waitress to bring us the menus although the restaurant had only a few customers. Very long delay before being served with our food and the food temperature was only lukewarm. Very disappointed with our latest experience and we decided to take a break from this venue. Certainly hope that management will see to improve customer service

This is one of my favorite restaurants .. The food is amazing and the service is wonderful..their fish tacos are my favorite .. I truly feel like a valued customer- waitresses are just so nice..

So this spot has merged with the Seaway Roadhouse and they share a kitchen and a menu with one side being Joey's and the other side being the Roadhouse menu. We were sat quickly but the menus didn't come until ten minutes later with our waitress not showing back up for another twenty minutes to inform us that half the menu wasn't even available. The service overall is terrible they took out drink orders and didn't start making them for another twenty minutes or so and then everything came out in piece with half of us not receiving our food until a full half hour after the first batch was brought out. I work in the industry and feel like this spot should be condemned for their poor service and terrible food. Not even worth the trip for drinks margaritas on their menu don't even come with tequila.
