Cookies we bought were rather dry. Nothing was outstanding about our meals. Pancakes looked amazing walking by, but they were sold out when we ordered.

I visited this restaurant a little over a year ago and had an incredible experience. I even had the chance to share a bottle of wine with the owner, who was very friendly and welcoming. I will truly miss this place. Now there's a "for sale" sign out front, and their phone number is disconnected.

They offer options for pan-fried fish, including trout, either fried or pan-fried. The fish comes from Halvorsen's, which is also great for smoked trout. The fried Brussels sprouts were fantastic as well; my son, who's 12, declared them the best he’s ever had, so that’s quite a compliment! We visited again this year, and it was definitely worth the drive from Bayfield. I ordered the all-you-can-eat pan-fried trout again, and even though I was quite full, I couldn’t resist getting a generously sized second piece. Don’t miss out on the smashed potatoes! My husband opted for the lamb chops. And be sure to bring a sweater or a light jacket—the air conditioning is pretty chilly!
