Nestled in a bustling neighborhood, this restaurant boasts an impressive array of flavors, particularly noted in its standout orange tofu, described as both flavorful and robust. However, patrons have expressed concerns regarding portion sizes, with some meals feeling stingy, particularly in shrimp. While the staff's limited English may pose a challenge for some, the quick service and fresh ingredients have garnered a loyal following since 2019. Although the atmosphere is simple and takeout-focused, reviews highlight the crispy crab rangoons and excellent value, making it a worthwhile stop for those seeking comforting Asian cuisine in a casual setting.

Was Sierra Macias at Ny a mag?
Really enjoyed the food here! It was quick and fresh. The flavors were really great. I got the tofu with vegetables and the tofu was cooked perfectly! The Crab Rangoons were so crispy and yummy. The portion size is really good. Both me and my husband had enough to take home. The atmosphere isn’t like a fancy sit down restaurant or anything, it’s more like a whole in the wall but it’s a good find. They did bring the f... View all feedback.

What Mellissa Burrell (Melli) dislikes about Ny:
They are非常 stingy with the shrimp! I paid $10 for shrimp and broccoli, and there were only 4 shrimp in my dish. It’s frustrating to pay for a meal and get so little. It’s like they’re actually counting the shrimp in the back! They really need to do better. Also, I ordered 2 dinner specials, and whether it’s for lunch or dinner, I shouldn't be getting just 4 shrimp. View all feedback.

The staff at this restaurant may not speak much English, making it a bit challenging to place specific orders. However, I personally have not encountered any issues as I always order the same dish. The orange tofu is my go-to here. The orange flavor is quite intense and the tofu is fried perfectly. There are large pieces of orange zest throughout the dish, which I have to pick out because they are bitter, but I think it's worth it. I tried the eggplant in garlic sauce once and did not enjoy it, as the texture was not right. Since the COVID-19 outbreak, the restaurant has transitioned to take-out only and there is always someone outside ready to take orders. It seems like they have no plans to stop offering take-out anytime soon.

The pork fried rice and Teriyaki chicken are my mainstay from NY Restaurant. I'll never understand why it's called that.

I wished that I had walked out as soon as I walked in, but gave it a chance. I should have gone with my first instinct.
