I was up in Cornelius, NC, and I was in the mood for tacos! After all, it is Tuesday. El Toro is a good Mexican restaurant in the Shops on the Green center. There are some other food choices in the center, but tacos were my choice. I had the carne asada Taco plate, and it was delish! The atmosphere gave me a taste of Old Mexico with the Mariachi and other Hispanic music playing in the background, as well as the World Cup playing on the TV. I was greeted with a smile, welcomed, service was excellent. I will definitely come back here.

El Toro is one of those places where good food intersects with affordability. Flat out El Toro is a bargain.Although Mexican food typically has similar ingredients along all different types of plates such as burritos, tacos, chimichangas, quesadillas, etc. El Toro seems to have many different options that provide culinary diversity and make it a restaurant worth frequenting.The staff is pleasant and very customer service oriented and the atmosphere is lively. It's really a nice little gem in Cornelius!

Worst tacos ever, meat not well cooked and the cucumber so dry , probably from last month, idont recommend this restaurant
