Description

A disappointing experience at Suttons Bar for Sunday lunch, with uneaten food not allowed to be taken away due to COVID precautions. Extremely slow service and unprepared staff led to a dissatisfied family leaving without being served. Mediocre food quality was saved by a friendly server. In contrast, a solo diner enjoyed a tasty salad but faced several challenges with their order. Positive reviews highlighted delicious food, accommodating chefs, limited vegetarian options for kids, and enjoyable dining experiences. A unique "Bistro in a Box" experience was a hit, showcasing tasty food that traveled well. Overall, mixed reviews but worth a visit for fresh, delicious meals.

I visited Sutton 's with family for Sunday brunch. I reserved a table online which was reserved for us on arrival. The staff gave us plenty of time to choose our dishes and there was plenty of choice from scones, the Full Irish, and breakfast baps. Tea and coffee is expensive on its own, but the Full Irish and Sutton 's Skillet both include tea and coffee in the order so not an additional cost. I ordered the Sutton 's Full Irish. It consisted of rashers, white and black pudding, white toast and butter, potatoes, sausages, baked beans, and mushrooms. It was delicious, especially the rashers which were crispy but not too brittle and dry. The dish could have been warmer but the hot plate kept it warm for a long time. A few things I would like to see on my next visit: Warmer food when served. A jug of water served without having to request it from staff. A choice of brown or white bread to serve alongside the dish. The atmosphere was comfortable and we were left to enjoy our meal without the staff checking in on us. Table and chairs were large and the three of us did not feel cramped sitting next to each other. I would recommend Sutton 's bistro for brunch if you are in Cork for brunch.

Thank god this restaurant is back on track. It went a bit off track for a while and we stopped going. Now whatever happened it's back to the way it should be. Superb menu . Great staff and prices are right. Compliments to the kitchen on taste and presentation. 10/10 top marks

Popped in for an early coffee scone with my Mum. Quiet busy place as always. Warm welcome from the team members. Excellent service. Delicious scones, butter preserves. Pity cream is not fresh cream rather than tined cream.. Overall experience wonderful. Look for to returning they always do superb lunches dinners too.
