Bring your Covid Certificate Place is clean and cozy Nice and comforting food Attentive staffs Highly recommended
The restaurant received mixed reviews, with some expressing disappointment over cold food, incorrect orders, and outdated salmon. However, others enjoyed the wide variety of dishes, generous portions, and fast service. One reviewer raved about the fantastic yakitori and another praised the excellent duck dish. Despite some negative feedback, many reviewers appreciated the great food quality, friendly staff, and reasonable prices. Overall, the restaurant seems to offer a diverse menu with some standout dishes, making it a decent option for Asian cuisine enthusiasts.

Today, my friend paid us wages and invited us to dinner, which was really fun. I love curry rice so much and I really miss the fried beef river. When I miss Asian food, I want to come here for a meal!
Was out on Thursday night, checked a few restaurants around the area and this was a place I get to eat dinner without reservation. What shocked me was the speed the food was served. I got my food less than 10 mins after ordering, and that's with a full house. My Pad Thai have the right amount of sour and spiciness. Fried Yaki Soba was a bit too sweet.
Massive portions that tasted good. The portions were so big that I kind of regret getting a side. My only criticism of the food is the beef in the katsu curry was a bit gristly. The food was served quickly and the staff were very attentive.
Always amazing food and wonderful service. My favourite restaurant. Couldn't recommend enough
The menu is promising, but the serving and cooking needs some refinement! I liked sushi and rice the most... I think it's worth taking care of details such as wooden chopsticks, clean menu cards it's better to print them every day! and not using plastic bento trays ! . Maybe it's better to serve this set of delicacies in a disposable paper box ? or on several plates... Be sure to add information on the menu whether it is vegetarian or not! I will come back to you in some time. You have to improve!

Each time I've been they have given us two menus. One was the general menu and one was more specialist dishes many of which my partner and I had never seen listed in Ireland before. We've tried a number of different items from both menus and we have enjoyed every single one. The yakitori duck is my favourite. It's fantastic. The place is simple and elegant. The staff are helpful and considerate. The service has always been speedy. The portions have been generous each time. And the value for money is outstanding.
Super service , clean and delicious food. We ordered chicken Katsura, Thai Pineapple Fried Rice and a Kids Bento. The Thai was probably all seafood the best I have ever eaten. The children were silent which is always a good sign regarding food. The chicken was also received very well. Portions were plentiful and staff were grateful for the generous tip. The food plus two cans of seven up came in at 47.70 euro which was our best value in our little holiday in Cork.
We dine at this restaurant fairly regularly as it is consistently good food at value for money tariffs supported with excellent service. The restaurant offers both Asian and Japanese themed menus within a comfortable setting. We were greeted enthusiastically and our meals once ordered were promptly delivered to our table. We have tried many of the dishes on offer, however we regularly revert to our favorites. My partner as usual opted for Thai basil chili beef and her request for no rice and extra vegetables is never an issue. This dish is beautifully balanced with regards to flavor and texture, the background basil flavor is balanced perfectly with as much or as little chili as your palate dictates and beef so tender you could cut it with a spoon, served chunky vegetables which still maintained a bite. I chose Unadon which is a grilled fillet of eel dish, served on rice with a seaweed salad and a boiled egg. The dish is also served with a miso and mushroom soup. The eel which will be familiar to sushi lovers, is always a substantial and flavorsome dish. Both dishes were presented well and ate every bit as good as they looked. I believe service to always be a memorable aspect of any meal, regardless of the price range and all the young lady servers are great, however our server Joanne is worthy of special mention as she is polite, friendly and helpful, yet unobtrusive and will interact with you as much or as little as you dictate. We always interact with our server wherever we dine and she certainly went that extra mile to ensure we were comfortable and enjoying our meal. She is a lovely young lady who enhanced our dining experience and is a valuable asset to this restaurant. As stated we dine here fairly regularly so it will come as no surprise that we will certainly return and also recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a flavorsome value for money dining experience.
Hi, this is my second visit to Soba; I first came last week. The stir fry is incredible, offering a unique and delicious flavor unlike any other Asian cuisine I've tried. The dishes are light and healthy—I highly recommend the Chicken Satay or the Chicken Red Curry. The prices are very reasonable, with main courses around $12.50. You won’t find more authentic, healthy Asian food anywhere else. The fact that the restaurant is mostly filled with Asian diners speaks volumes.
There’s nothing like good Asian food, but this wasn’t it. The smooth, traditional Malaysian curry with coconut milk ended up tasting like a typical chip shop curry sauce, served with very thin frozen vegetables. The Pad Thai was a heavy, unappealing dish, again featuring thin frozen vegetables. This cannot be considered authentic or quality Asian cuisine. Definitely one place I won’t be returning to.
