We first opened our doors in 2002 in Bandon, Co. Cork. In 2014, we relocated to Douglas and have been proud members of the community ever since. Our menu features authentic Italian cuisine, including pizzas, homemade pastas, vegan and vegetarian options, coeliac/GF dishes, steaks, fish, cocktails, and house-made desserts. Our Head Chef, a Rome-born with over 30 years of experience, prepares and creates each dish with care and expertise.

What a nice place to enjoy a meal. I was quite surprised but their separate two page plant based menu. I mean it’s hard to find vegan food at Italian places but this restaurant went above and bring to create a plant based version of the most beloved Italian dishes. The servers are great and friendly. What Anonym dislikes about Marcello's:
Very disappointing for 16€. A spoon of soggy vegetables literally 3 potato wedges that probably where made during lunch. The meat and sauce looked like out of a microwave meal and except the tomato sauce you didn’t taste anything. This is no Italian cuisine nor Italian food! Hope they do better if you dine in, for me not again. I will cross the street to Palmento. View all feedback.
All the food we ordered was so delicious! Almost every pasta dish could be prepared gluten free and they were helpful with different dietary requirements. Portions were perfect, presentation beautiful. Service was very careful and attentive. I’m so glad we found this gem for our large group dinner!!
My partner and I love this restaurant, as long as we go they treat us very well. Food and cocktails are great. It's very clean. The entrance is a bit narrow for wheelchair but there are no steps. The food to take is not so fabulous, it is better to go eat there.
There's little more to add to those 5 stars. Definitely one of our best culinary experiences in Ireland, both in terms of food quality (that Margherita is purely excellent), friendliness, space and price.
I'm Italian. Been living in Ireland for 9 years and everytime i wanted to eat Italian i had to do it myself. This is the first time i had authentic Italian food! The Pasta and risotto are amazing and well made! The antipasto is amazing, feels like a little piece of Italy in Ireland. I will be back for more!
I'm an Italian girl who's been living in Cork for a couple of months. After a long time, I was craving some real Italian food, and this restaurant made me feel right at home. The food was delicious, the staff were welcoming and friendly, and the place was wonderful. Congratulations, I'll be back often!
