I ordered the Thai Pad Nam Pik Pao, which is the closest dish I've found in Cork to my favorite meal from home, Pad Gra Pow. It was excellent! The service was outstanding as well; I ordered for delivery, and the restaurant reached out to check if I needed rice since I hadn't included it in my order. I definitely did! They're fantastic!

I recently visited La Quila on Popes Quay and had an amazing dining experience! My wife and I ordered starters, main courses, and desserts, and everything was delicious. The Peshwari naan was the best I have ever had. The staff were friendly and provided great service. In my opinion, this is the best Indian restaurant in Cork - very authentic! I will definitely be returning and highly recommend this place!

The food arrived quickly and was tasty, but the chicken korma had an unusual orange color. After finishing our meal, we waited another half an hour for the dessert menu, which never arrived. We had to approach the waiter to order dessert and the bill together. The "death by chocolate cake served warm" was actually served cold, and even when sent back, it came back cold as well. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience and I do not plan on returning to this restaurant.

We went there last week, the starters were horrendous, they had mixed mango squash with chicken tikka which tasted horrible. Then the mains came in and there were chunks of thick diced green chillies when we asked for medium. Couldnt even finish the food because of bad taste and sheer amount of green chilli. Last but not least; the staff were shouting at eachother from kitchen while we were struggling with chillies. They came out of kitchen later and having a very loud conversation while standing pretty close to us. We would like to give minus 5 stars.

I really rate this place highly, for price, food and quality of service this coming from a fella with a family background in Indian restaurants. My colleague and I came here for lunch on the first day of our business trip to Cork. We got in for opening time (2pm ish) and we were advised to return in around 5 10 minutes while they set everything up and ensured kitchen equipment was started up and ready to go completely understandable. The head waiter warmly greeted us when we returned and the restaurant was understandably quiet given the time of day. We went for the mixed grill main, chicken korai, 2 naans and a pilau rice at which point we were advised that this would be more than enough food for us, despite us wanting to order a lot more because of how hungry we were. It turns out he was right, as we didn't end up even touching the pilau rice (which looked amazing), which the staff happily took back and didn't charge us for. The food itself was wonderful flavoursome, spicy and served piping hot, although I'm no connoisseur. The dishes came with a generous portion of actually meat pieces and the naans were conveniently cut into quarters and presented. We were given complimentary poppadoms and dips while we waited for food, water was topped up as we went along, and the wait for food wasn't bad at all it was ready just as we finished our poppadoms. It turns out the staff at this restaurant are of all sorts of Asian backgrounds Bangladeshi, Nepalese, Indian and Pakistani. And you can certainly tell that they each bring their own little flair to this place. I honestly can't recommend this humble restaurant enough. My messy plate picture doesn't do this place justice, but it's just an idea of what I had. Thanks Lal Quila until next time.
