Lab 82 Coffee - Cork
Lab 82 Coffee
Description
Lab 82, a cozy retro café opposite Kent Station, serves standout breakfasts, creative brunch dishes and an impressive dessert lineup—from pancakes and bacon‑maple waffles to exceptional cakes. The eclectic interior, kitchen-view window and ample indoor/outdoor seating create a lively, welcoming vibe. Staff are personable and attentive, though service and coffee consistency can vary during busy periods. A few plates lack greens and some sauces or eggs have been uneven, but overall quality, value and inventive sweets make it a must-visit for commuters, families and dessert lovers.

This is a fantastic place for breakfast and lunch, or even just a quick coffee break. They offer a wide variety of delicious dessert options as well. I highly recommend trying the bacon maple syrup waffles—they're the perfect way to kick off your weekend morning! The staff is friendly, and there’s plenty of space inside and outside to enjoy your meal.
If I could give more stars, I absolutely would! The food here is simply amazing. The cakes are top-notch, and the quality of the food is outstanding. The coffee is uniquely blended with superb taste. This is, without a doubt, the best place in Ireland for both sweet and savory dishes, and the prices are quite reasonable, too. The sweet treats are to die for—especially the Biscoff caramel slice and the Kinder cookie dough with caramel, which are just perfect. The Lab has something for everyone, and the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. The owners and head chef go out of their way to connect with every customer, making this place truly special. Please keep doing what you're doing!
I was fortunate to avoid a lunch rush during my visit. The food was excellent, with wonderfully fresh flavors! I really enjoyed the atmosphere and will definitely return.
Beautiful food here had the Eggs Forester and it was divine! Bought a takeaway milkybar brownie and it was absolutely unreal!
Stopped here for breakfast based on the reviews, ended up being quite disappointed. I ordered the Ultimate Eggs Benedict and a Flat White. The presentation was fabulous, however the eggs were overcooked, the hollandaise and potatoes were bland, and the coffee tasted like dirt. The manager had a new coffee made for me, and it was exactly the same. Gave 1 extra star as I was not made to pay for the meal.
