Was Anonym at Jacques a mag?
Went here with people, and everyone loved it! We did a number of the small plates and each of them was delicious. The croquettes and pork belly is to die for!! They have a great cocktail and wine menu, to suit everyone's taste and budget. We ended our night with a cheese platter and deserts to share and we just about managed to roll home! (Due to the scrumptious food, not the cocktails and wine ) i can highly recomme... View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about Jacques:
Had to update my review. Went here late last year and had a very mediocre experience. While the staff tried their best, this place has lost something of what made it special. Food was fine though not amazing. And because theyve expanded, the staff seem a lot busier and the attentiveness of my previous visit was lost. We ordered a side of chips that didnt come till well after the mains had arrived. So its no longer th... View all feedback.

We dined here for the first time in years and we were very happy. The food was excellent (duck brie starters, steak mains) staff were very nice and atmosphere was lovely.
The best meal I've experienced in Cork City. Simple ingredients elevated along with great service!
Nice atmosphere, staff polite, great presentation of Small plates however taste was lacking. No flavor to crab pasta and venison, duck salad was just soso and the croquets were terrible. Very pricey for portion size. Example $84 for steak was for 2 people. Crazy.
The duck salad with beetroot chunks was excellent, highly recommended. Staff were efficient and attentive, and the kitchen speedy. Central location. This place is popular, I recommend you book, but they take walk-ins too. We didn't order a side of fries, but they came anyway and were so good! The lighting was a bit too dim for me, but I think it was supposed to be like that.

Enjoy delicious little teller at the bar, paired with beautiful wein on tap. friendly staff, but not intrusive.
First visited jacques on Saturday night. it was absolutely fantastic! I love eating and the atmosphere. the staff was helpful and friendly. definitiw will return to the future
Was here earlier today. Essen (steak) was really good, could not recommend anymore. the personal was beautiful, with an unfortunate withdrawal. old woman in front of the restaurant really lets the place down. she has been here several times and has a very rude, ignorant attitude. she really lets the others down
Expected more, however it was a good experience. The bartender, who happens to be our waitress as well, was polite and helpful. We had the crab arancini (not excited about those , the pork belly (good! , The stuffed mushrooms (good! , The duck salad (highly recommend!!! . Extensive cocktails and wines on the menu. Place was a bit empty but the atmosphere, the setting was very welcoming! I would recommend it!

Delicious fish and scallops main courses. Deceptively spacious casual restaurant which was busy with local families and tourists alike. Service was friendly and fun.
Was up in Cork for the day and I decided I'd give this place a try. I had crab as a starter and chicken schnitzel as a main. Didn't have dessert. The staff were friendly. The service was quick. The place is clean. Would go again
Arrived at 7:30 PM and received a poor greeting. We were seated in an area opposite the toilets, which had no atmosphere, and could see kitchen staff constantly carrying tubs of dirty dishes. The food was lukewarm, clearly having been left waiting for our order. While the taste was decent, it was only what you'd expect from a restaurant with a good reputation. We had to ask for a drink, and no one checked in to see if everything was okay. The wine listed on the menu was unavailable. I would not return—there are much better places to eat.
Jacques has stood the test of time thanks to its high standards, great value, and consistent quality. As an occasional visitor over the years, each experience reminds me to come back more often. This visit, my family and I dropped by on a quiet Tuesday evening and enjoyed some exceptional sharing plates, small dishes, and desserts—all of which reaffirmed why I’m such a fan of Jacques.
Four friends enjoyed a pre-Christmas meal at Jacques on 13/12/22. We chose three different main courses and two different desserts from the menu. Every dish was delicious—fresh, flavorful, and expertly prepared. Our mains included steak, venison, and hake, followed by panna cotta and a unique date dessert for dessert. We savored every bite and couldn’t find a single flaw.
