Dashi is a must-visit for anyone who loves Japanese food. The salmon-avocado temaki is a great starter, while the party platter is perfect for groups. The staff is friendly and the service is prompt. The quality of food is excellent, especially the sushi and maki rolls. The restaurant offers a nice sit-down experience in Cork City or convenient takeaway options. While some customers had minor issues with the bill or timing, the overall experience is positive. Dashi's sushi is considered some of the best in Cork, with reasonable prices and a friendly atmosphere. The chicken ramen receives mixed reviews, but the sushi remains a highlight. All I can say is Oh my GOD!!!!! Dashi Deli is absolutely wonderful! The food is exceptional both warm and the Sushi. The sushi in particular is extraordinary and the closest to actually Japanese sushi I’ve ever tasted outside of Japan. The special sushi that is done on a daily basis is a must for everyone. The staff here are warm, welcoming above all customer focused. The experience I’ve had in Dashi is incredible m,... View all feedback.
What Rosa Diaz dislikes about Dashi:
I visited the restaurant today, excited to place my order and enjoy a meal. However, I struggled to find a menu that allowed me to easily write down and take notes, as I often get confused with the Japanese names like urakami and nigiri. The woman working there—who seemed to be in a managerial position—was not very welcoming. She appeared quite unpleasant and impatient. Fortunately, a young Brazilian guy who also wor... This sushi restaurant is definitely the best in the city, with wonderful staff. I will definitely return.
My wife and I had a delicious meal at this restaurant yesterday. The staff were very friendly and the owner was very attentive. We had a wonderful experience and couldn't find a single fault. Dashi, you are doing an excellent job, keep it up! Top marks from us!
The food was lovely, I had a Japanese style chicken curry with rice. Plenty of veg and sauce in the curry, not much meat though. The service was relatively quick. The price was ok too. I couldn't help but notice that everything in the seating area, which was covered in soft cushions and throws for a cosy feel, needed a good old washing. The floors also were in need of a good steam clean degreasing. Nice place overall, with a bit of better maintenance on the cleaning side would go a long way.
Visited the place just for the first time, as I saw they have a lot of great reviews, and variety of options, but unfortunately were disappointed, as many of the ingredients weren’t just included. They show in the menu that the sushi has variety of ingredients, and a lot of interesting stuff like: asparagus, chive, chilli powder, and so, but unfortunately they just used instead of the asparagus the curcumber, and we had no chives or chilli powder, although we should have had Also the trout sushi we had was half raw/and half cooked
