Description
The New Yorker restaurant at Cork International Hotel offers a unique dining experience with delicious food and excellent service. Despite some minor issues like slow service and a long wait for the main course, the overall experience was satisfying. The staff are friendly and accommodating, particularly towards families with children. The menu offers a variety of options, from appetizers to desserts, all of which are well-prepared and tasty. Although there was a negative encounter witnessed between a manager and staff, the restaurant itself was clean and welcoming. Overall, The New Yorker is a great choice for a dining experience in Cork.

My family and I had a wonderful meal this weekend at the New Yorker. The menu had lots of great options for small plates and mains and the food was quite good. But the whole experience was greatly enhanced by the wonderful service from our server, David. From his first interaction with us, he was engaging and humorous and he maintained that level of warmth and professionalism through our meal. He truly enhanced our dining experience. If you are heading to the New Yorker soon , ask for David by name. He makes the whole experience better.
A wonderful dinner in a spectacular location. The food was really good with generous portions, and we were happy to find a lot of gluten-free options as well. I took the gluten-free double cheeseburger) The staff were very kind and welcoming, which made our experience even more enjoyable. We recommend this place to anyone looking for a great dining experience.
We dined at the restaurant this week and one of the orders was an Irish Beef Burger. Honestly, I couldn’t finish it and without a doubt, it’s among the worst burgers I’ve ever had in my life. And I’ve tried many. The burger had a dreadful texture, tasted like old, frozen meat, and to top it off, it was expensive. Far too expensive for something so poor. I rarely ever leave negative reviews, but I believe it’s necessary for the manager, along with the chef, to experience a proper, freshly made burger somewhere decent and be honest with themselves about whether it’s truly worth serving such a dreadful product. The restaurant itself is very comfortable, the pint was cold, the chips were perfectly fried, the salad was delicious, my partner’s dish was also good, and all the staff were impeccable and genuinely lovely. And then… you serve this? From the bottom of my heart, I truly hope you find a better supplier for your burgers, or make your own which is one of the simplest things to prepare, and can even be frozen properly to make life easier for the kitchen. Please, reconsider this aspect and then, everything would be worthy of 5 stars.
Was there with family. Our server Aoife was amazing and really helpful. Food and rinks were lovely. Would highly recommend.
