Reviews - Boothouse
Reviews summary
The Boothouse is a cosy, old‑style Irish country pub steeped in history, known for warm, friendly staff, welcoming locals, excellent pints and generous, home‑cooked meals at good value. Its authentic atmosphere and hospitable service make it a cherished local gem, though visitors note a remote location that can make return travel difficult and a reported outdoor cleanliness concern.
Was Padraig Murray at Boothouse a mag?
I last visited the Boothouse for lunch before the pandemic, and I remember it fondly. The food was always top-notch, with delicious home-cooked meals. The staff and owners were consistently friendly and professional. I'm not sure if they're still serving food, but I would love to go back. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 View all feedback.
What John Davies dislikes about Boothouse:
I recently drove past the Boothouse and noticed a large pile of empty bottles on the ground in the back. If this is how the Boothouse approaches environmental concerns and cleanliness, it's clear that things have changed significantly over the years. View all feedback.

This pub has a rich history and is a fantastic local spot. The food is outstanding, and the beer is excellent, making for an enjoyable experience. The owner and staff are always warm and welcoming.
Excellent service, delicious food, and a spacious traditional Irish pub atmosphere.
Nice place. The staff is very friendly and the customers are so friendly. It's just what a place should be in Ireland. The locals are sadly a dying race and as such and all others as they should be appreciated.

Fantastic pints and a lovely atmosphere! I'm excited to try the food—it looked and smelled amazing. The staff is excellent, and the value is impressive, making this place a true gem!
We had dinner tonight, and it was wonderful! I highly recommend it and would definitely go back again. xx
Had a lovely dinner here between 3 of us. Our mains were steak, cabbage and bacon, and the catch of the day (sole). All went down very well (asked for steak rare and it was cooked just how I like it with a lovely side of onions and mushrooms) and generous portions too!. Came to €66 including drinks which we thought was v reasonable. Highly recommend!
