We decided to order from Rib Shack since they o... read more My husband and I were both craving different dishes for dinner—he wanted ribs while I was in the mood for steak. We decided to order from Rib Shack since they offered both options on the menu. He ordered a 1/2 slab of ribs, and I chose a 10 oz Rib Eye. Unfortunately, we won’t be making that choice again! My steak was completely tasteless, lacking any seasoning at all, or if it was seasoned, it was with something flavorless. At most restaurants, they consider it an insult to request steak sauce, but not here. They clearly don’t take pride in their food; if they did, they wouldn’t serve such poor quality meat. This experience has made me hesitant to try something new from a place I've previously enjoyed, thinking their barbecue might guarantee a good steak. I was wrong!

After being seated, the server took my drink order and provided me with a menu. However, after I received my drink, the wait to place my food order dragged on for an excruciating 35 minutes. Despite having finished my drink, no server came by to check on me. The restaurant wasn't busy at all, so I couldn't understand the delay. Frustrated, I decided to get up, pay for my drink, and leave for a different location. It’s hard to believe this establishment remains open with such poor customer service. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

He ordered a half rack of ribs, and I went for a 10-ounce ribeye. Unfortunately, we won’t be making that mistake again! My steak was utterly tasteless and lacked any seasoning whatsoever. At most places, if you have to ask for steak sauce, it feels like an insult to the chef, but not here. It seems they don't take pride in their food, because if they did, they wouldn't have served such a poor cut of meat. This experience has deterred me from trying something new in a place where I thought their barbecue was good, assuming their steaks would be too. I was wrong!
