Once we arrived there, we realized that there is a... read more This place found on Google Maps and then reviewed the reviews on TripAdvisor and decided to give it a chance. Once we arrived there, we realized that there is a little fish bar paying at the register type of place with a very small menu. We asked the cook who turned out to be the owner to recommend some things, and she recommended the fried white bait fish and grilled sardines. We also had a Greek salad. Everything has proved absolutely amazing. Fresh food cooked in place and we were lucky to have a nice conversation with the owner after our meal. She runs the business alone and does a good job. She knows her food is spectacular. She also informed us that all her ingredients come from the local fish market, so that everything is fresh everyday and when it comes out of something, she can easily grab more from the market on the street. Very recommended and I am really glad that I could support a local business. When time and again in Corfu I will visit Mare Miasto again 100%.

Had to wait a long time to order and when the waiter eventually came back she suddenly remembered they only had 2 things from the menu in stock (calamari and grilled prawns) so we didn’t really have a choice anyway, but it was actually quite good once t came. Hospitality was severely lacking as the only waiter was a rude and aggressive woman who was extremely short when we tried to order and when we got the food she handed me a burning hot plate which actually burnt my hand and rather than apologise she told me to hurry and pass her another plate. Also they gave us “complementary” bread with our food which they then added to the bill at the end so watch out.
