Our waitress, Sam, was truly outstanding. She answered all our questions and made us feel right at home, which is a rare find in such a busy restaurant. If I could give negative stars I would. The food was horrible mine and my partners were tasteless and cold. Not any taste or smoke the meat had never touched a smoker but more than likely fixed in an oven and liquid smoke added. Just nasty will never be back to another Sonny's again. Enjoy our meal and service! Clean family restaurant. Fair prices! Meals are big, we shared a meal! The second time was here! Was better than the first!! Great waiter and food and the company I was with!! Everybody enjoyed! Great choice for our restaurant tonight! Come on!
Before I get to far in, the wait staff featured highly into me not giving this a 5 star rating. Coming in, we were not greeted and the 2 youngish men just stared at us until I spoke to them. The wait was not long, but shortly after we got seated it began filling up. Our server was not attentive at all! He didn't get requested items in a timely manner and didn't make sure we had all of our items. Service plays a huge part in my ratings. I acknowledge wonderful waitstaff and acknowledge when they are extremely busy. This gentleman didn't make an effort to let us know things were coming or make an effort to smooth over his mistakes. He was not busy on the floor at the bulk of our time there, the other staff next to us was awesome in comparison. The food was good! The BBQ was good and they had different sauces at the table which makes for an excellent experience.
We have always liked this location and try to make a point to stop and eat when we are passing through. We were there in June and the AYCE ribs were terrific and the waitress kept them coming like she was on my side.

The brisket didn't taste like it was smoked and didn't have a smoke ring. The sausage was dried out. The wings on the other hand, were the best I've ever had. Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4
