Description

Nestled in Coram, this bustling Jamaican spot is beloved for authentic, generously portioned plates—standout oxtails when done right—flavorful jerk chicken and weekend seafood specials. Friendly service, careful packaging and reliable takeout make it a go-to for locals and visitors. Caveats: quality can be inconsistent (notably oxtails), desserts sometimes sell out, and popular times require arriving early. Despite ups and downs, many consider it among Long Island’s best Jamaican dining experiences.

My favorite Jamaican restaurant in Suffolk offers the most authentic and always fresh dishes. They've raised their prices, but it's definitely worth it!

I had the Jerk Chicken meal with rice and peas, which also included some plantains and cabbage, and it was amazing! This is the best Jamaican food I've had in Suffolk in 20 years. They were out of the two desserts I ordered, but they called me to offer alternatives. I’m usually the first to voice a complaint, but I'm pleasantly surprised that I have nothing to complain about this time. They provided utensils and napkins, and everything was well-packaged without any spills. I will definitely be ordering from here again soon!

The oxtails are consistently fresh, tender, and incredibly delicious! Every dish they serve is amazing! They provide generous portions, perfect for sharing. I absolutely love this restaurant and find myself ordering from them every week. Plus, on weekends, they offer curry shrimp, fried shrimp, and a variety of specialty dishes that are all fantastic!

The oxtails were good and flavorful but the chicken patty was very bland and tough to eat couldn't finish it and the stew beef was tasty seasoning wise but dry, like beef jerky

The place is decent. Definitely one of the better Jamaican spots in Coram. They’re just inconsistent as it pertains to their OXTAIL recipe. It's a hit or miss with the oxtails. They never taste the same (to me). 1st time I had the oxtails, I was blown away! So of course I returned but it’s up and down. And I keep going back because I always think it’ll get better haha for example, last Sunday is probably the BEST oxtails they ever made; AMAZING!!! Moist, juicy, flavorful. BUT this Sunday the OXTAILS WERE VERY DRY ; hardly any gravy, less flavorful; I was beyond disappointed because it was the TOTAL opposite experience from last Sunday. I’ve been here about 5x so I can undeniably say that there is inconsistency with the oxtails. But everything else is decent.
