Brown sugar on the other side, didn't have enough brown sugar taste, but the texture was good, chewy, not too hard not too soft.

In a cit... read more My boyfriend and I wanted to check out a new bubble tea shop after kayaking and lunch on Friday. Tealab came up on Yelp and we decided to give it a go. In a city permeated with bubble tea shops galore, Tealab differentiates itself from the rest. They use fresh tea leaves and brew every cup to order, which makes for a more fragrant aroma. I also like that their flavours are natural none of that powdered **** here. I went with the Peach Oolong Tea with a Salted Cheese Milk Foam addition. The light sweetness of the peach tea base paired perfectly with the savoury foam. This drink wasn't too heavy and hit the spot for me. My partner went with the Pineapple Oolong Tea with Pearls. I liked how the texture of the pineapple bits contrasted nicely with the pearls, which were perfectly cooked and not too soft. Like most other bbt joints, Tealab lets you customize the ice and sweetness levels to your liking. If you're ever in this area, I highly recommend Tealab as a solid bubble tea shop. Also cool to note that they take cards and have free two hour parking.

I am a bit addicted and this is the best place to get my tea fix. The amount of options would most likely be overwhelming for a beginner so look up the menu ahead of time if possible but I have often driven at least 15 minutes out of my way to come here. I usually go with peach green tea and this is one of the few places where I don't get a chemical fake aftertaste, my SO usually opts for more classic flavors and he says this place is pretty close to what he gets at home (Dalian, China) A bit on the more expensive side but worth it!

The quality of the ingredients were top-notch, and you can tell that the proprietors really care about what they're making. Would definitely recommend.
