Was JGT X at Bbong Korean a mag?
Had the sweet spicy fried chicken, small portion, it was boneless and very tasty. Kimchi fried rice was good too, it came with a dark gravy. Service was good although the fried rice took a while to arrive. Appetizers were usual standard kimchi, potato, bean curd strips. waitress asked if we wanted more, so I got topped up on potato. Plenty for 2 for lunch and had lots to take home for dinner. View all feedback.

Where do I start? This restaurant is undeniably my top choice for Korean-Chinese fusion cuisine. While there are other good options out there, Bbong is my favorite by a long shot. The flavor and portion sizes are exceptional, making it a fantastic value and utterly delicious. I highly recommend it! Just be aware that some dishes can be quite spicy!

Before our visit, my coworker mentioned that the restaurant is known for its chicken, which really got me excited to try it. We arrived around 6:30 PM on a Monday, and the restaurant wasn't very busy, making it easy for us to find a seat. The server promptly brought us the menu and drinks. The menu was impressive, featuring pictures with each dish to make ordering easier. After a bit of discussion, we decided to share a family combo for about $30, which included jajangmyeon, jjampong, and tansuyuk/kanpoongi. My friend assured me it was a great deal for two people, and she was right – we ended up with a generous amount of food. After a wait of about 10 to 15 minutes, our meals arrived, and we were thrilled to see the large portions. Everything looked delicious, and the taste did not disappoint. I particularly enjoyed the spicy seafood noodle soup, which was flavorful without being overly spicy. However, my favorite dish was definitely the chicken. It was an abundance of chicken pieces, and the flavor reminded me of a sweet pork dish from my hometown – incredibly tasty! Since there were only two of us, we ended up with quite a bit of leftovers, which we took home. Overall, dining at BBong Korean Restaurant was a fantastic experience. I would love to return and highly recommend it to all my friends for its delicious food at affordable prices.

I was really in the mood for Jjampong, so I convinced S to come with me all the way to North Road to satisfy my craving. I definitely overestimated how much I could eat, as we ended up ordering way too much food for just the two of us (especially since I don’t eat a lot, so it was really too much for about 1.25 people!).

Bbong is the newest restaurant addition to Coquitlam 's Hanin Village, and we tried it for the first time, for dinner one evening last week.  The restaurant is located on the H Mart supermarket side of the Village, at the corner at back.  We arrived at 5:30 pm, were welcomed upon entry, shown to a booth, and provided menus and a large carafe of cold water and glasses.<br/ <br/ The restaurant was clean, neat and tidy.  It has a variety of options when it comes to seating arrangements   open booths on one side, enclosed (walled) booths on the other side (for small and large groups), and tables with chairs in the central area (which can be moved together to provide seating arrangements for smaller sized groups).  One of the open booths was perfect for us, and provided a nice view of what was happening throughout the restaurant.<br/ <br/ Service to our table was friendly and helpful (especially appreciated when it came to pursuing the menu, and making a final decision on 'what ', and 'how much ' to order).<br/ <br/  We (couple) ordered and shared the following:<br/   #46 steamed dumplings (Jjin mandu) and #64 stir fried seafood and vegetables (Pal bo chae).<br/   provided side dishes potato, tofu onion 'salad ', kimchi.<br/ <br/ The dumplings stir fry made a fine combination the dumplings provided a rice/noodle substitute, plus, added a little meat and to the totally seafood and veggie main dish.  It was an appealing, good looking presentation.  The banchan, though quite simple, added a tasty touch.<br/ <br/ The dumplings were good coverings, thin, moist, and tender, and ingredients within, moist and tasty.  The ingredients of the stir fry shrimp (a few large, many small ones), a few mussels (in the half shell, 'the ' best I 've tasted outside of PEI), many pieces of squid and octopus, sliced mushrooms (large and small varieties), sliced green and red bell peppers, several pieces of small, sweet corn, slices of carrot and onion, and a wonderful, tasty (mildly spiced) sauce so well prepared, with everything (all seafoods 'and ' veggies) cooked just right.  A major yum!! <br/ <br/ We much enjoyed the food, and total dining experience at Bbong, and were so happy to have chosen it for dinner that evening a return visit some time soon we hope.
