Contribute Feedback What Yasmin Rolfson doesn't like about Basil House Thai Express:
When I questioned the server about this discrepancy, they tried to brush it off and insisted that it was a misunderstanding. I was extremely disappointed by their lack of transparency and felt cheated out of my money.
To make matters worse, the chicken skewers were dry and overcooked, leaving a bad taste in my mouth. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone and will not be returning. View all feedback.
The Basil House is a flavourful treat plunked in the middle of a suburban strip mall filled with banal food venues. Yesterday the door was open to let in the breeze but a reserved black and red screen kept the interior quiet and apart from the exterior busyness. The service was efficient and I quickly had a very tasty chicken pad thai lunch that included a small spring roll and a tiny salad, all for under $10. I also ordered a lychee flavoured iced green tea which was short on iciness and long on unwanted sugar but I was otherwise very happy with my lunch. There are several other choices on the lunch special list as well as the regular menu to order from.
The service is very friendly. The food is decent, but not particularly unique or exciting. It's a nice place to have lunch.

We visited this restaurant with our family because we were looking for a place to have dinner within walking distance.
