I will say the food is good. Love the teriyaki chicken. Great price for amount of food given. But atmosphere needs work. No friendly greetings at door or direction on seating yourself or where to order.. Hot environment. Sticky tables. So a nice lunch or dinner outing to this environment is a No but will have food delivered because the food is good. View all feedback.
This restaurant made me so happy from the first bite!! If you want to have a lasting marriage, bring your spouse here!!! They will love you forever!!!! The pulled pork and cabbage is absolutely delicious, and the teriyaki chicken just melts in your mouth! I can't stop salivating just thinking about this place! I will definitely be back next week, and the week after, and the week after that! I might as well start earning frequent flyer miles at this place! A definite must-visit on your bucket list!!!
I was a lost customer because of previous bad experiences. It has been a while but out of curiosity I tried again. Certainly glad I did. Apparently someone made several changes that significantly increased the quality of their food. I made a large orderand everything was great. Exactly how it should be. I am now a customer again and happy because I missed Hawaiian style cuisine.
I read through a lot of the reviews and decided to give this a try. Weeks went by and as I was driving into cove and pulled right in to the parking lot. When I opened my door I was met with this breath taking smell of hawaiian bbq. Walking into throughthe front door I was immediately greeted not only by staff but the huge menu too. After studying the menu I decided on thenumber 2 for myself which included, a pork rib, chicken katsu, rice and macaroni salad . My husband also got a number two butwith brisket, kalua pork and a double salad. He enjoyed his plate a lot! The salad was crispy and fresh, the pork and brisketwere super tender and flavorful. As for mine...katsu was nicely breaded and crunchy, the rib was fall off the bone (literally)but the sauce had an acidic background but not a lot of flavor. My sides were rice, which is fluffy and sticky. On it was a typeof teriyaki sauce and wow it was good!! The other was macaroni salad which had a creamy texture but again no flavor. I alsoordered 1 egg role and 1 spam musubi. The egg roll I feel was like something you get when you order chinese and the musubi wasmeh. The musubi rice to meat ratio was way off and the meat was barely on the other side of cooked. Honestly this place has thepotential to be good just have to add seasoning to some stuff. I will be back for the katsu for sure.
This restaurant serves the best Hawaiian food in central Texas, surpassing other Hawaiian spots in Killeen, Harker Heights, and Copperas Cove. The Mac salad is delicious! The new furniture and island theme of the interior give off a great vibe. It makes me want to book a trip to Hawaii right now.
The food is delicious, especially the teriyaki chicken. The portion sizes are generous and the prices are reasonable. However, the atmosphere needs improvement. There were no friendly greetings at the door or instructions on seating or ordering. The restaurant was hot and the tables were sticky. Overall, it's not a great place for a lunch or dinner outing, but I would consider having their food delivered because it is tasty.
