great small town store that I want to badly to support but the check out lady owner and young woman who works here are both so rude and controlling, rarely helpful. I never get a good vibe- I always leave feeling under appreciated and kinda sad, even after spending tons of money they just don’t seem to have an ability to be warm and fuzzy or kind at all, in fact it feels like they are almost intentionally cold? It's wonderful to have a grocery store that stocks hard-to-find items. This place truly brings a 'cool' factor to Copake, adding diverse flavors to our community. I stopped by to pick up some food before heading out to the lake. The staff was friendly, and so were the other customers. The food was of good quality, too. It's a charming little shop with an old-fashioned feel.

Love the high quality products, honestly some great tasting food. But, prices are kind of expensive, which is understandable based on what they serve.

Enjoy a delightful shopping experience at The General Store! The staff is exceptionally friendly and always ready to help. They offer a great variety of local products if you're in need of something quick, along with snacks and other essentials. While prices are higher than at a supermarket, this seems to be part of their business model, and I completely understand. The prepared foods are a highlight, with the sandwiches and baked goods being particularly delicious!
The staff here are extremely helpful, and there's a wonderful selection of products available for purchase. They offer a wide variety of handcrafted treats, as well as beautiful vegan options. Overall, it was a lovely experience.
I really enjoyed the atmosphere! The place has a pleasant aroma and the presentation is appealing. They also offer a variety of good gluten-free menu options.
Great atmosphere! On point baked goods, sandwiches and salads perfect for takeaway or hangout there. The roast beef ban mi was excellent!
