The Coolangatta Hotel

Ordered a veggie stir fry. Asked there is a lot of veg hey of course the woman nodded YES> What a disappointment, not only was it tasteless but the veg was SOGGY! The chefs need to visit the new Thai cafe opened in Coolangatta lunches, far superior. I found out later the VEG used had been FROZEN hence why it was soggy. Sorry not good enough. The only thing that was OK was my company and the view. Go elsewhere for a decent veggie meal.

This is a regular for us when we are in Cooly. Staff are fabulous. Food in the bistro area is standard pub quality which is a bit of a shame given the amazing location and awesome staff. There’s room for this to really be something...special. AND Guinness on tap!

My wife and I went here on the Monday public holiday. Paying the surcharge was ok but unfortunately they had very few staff on, and the ones they did have on were run off there feet. So much so that patrons were being told...of an hour and a half wait for meals at lunch time. The meals we had were both quite nice, normal pub grub. Management of pubs like this who don't hesitate to implement a surcharge on public holidays but don't add any more staff when the place is packed on what would normally be a very quiet Monday are money orientated and not customer focused at all.

Purchased two senior pork belly. Pork was minute in size, no crackle and cold. Roast potatoes were cooked, cauliflower broccoli and carrots were stone cold and barely blanched. Could not even get a fork into the hard veg. I had the chef special which was...a pulled beef wrap and slaw… slaw nice but had to squint to find the meat on it. One steak was ordered and it was beautiful. Service was nonexistent. We would have mentioned the problems should someone have cleared the table or removed our glasses from the table.

Horrible service. Accused of not paying for meal and a big fuss was made. No waiters to take my order but they were walking around looking important. **** useless. If I could rate a zero then far out I would
