Ate here last night, lovely spot on the deck and a great spot for a pre dinner drink. Service was friendly and efficient. We both had the Barra, chips and salad. The Barra was cooked to perfection and had a lovely lemon sauce with it. The only minor disappointment was that the chips were a bit cold and soggy, probably plated up too early while the Barra was cooking. They have wifi but none of the staff knew the new password. Overall a good experience and would dine there again.
Met friends here for late breakfast before heading to airport to travel home. Really good coffee. I had the tomato & avo smash, which was really nice. A few ordered bacon & eggs but was disappointed poached eggs were not available. And " Eggs Bene" on a breakfast menu is a must. Disapointed to not see it on the menu!
We had brekky here today. Looks lovely from the outside. The first impression of ordering food at the counter with a less impressive attitude of a woman. No welcome smile. More or less "what do you want" style of service. The menu is expensive and the little of what I got it is hard to justify the cost. Bacon & eggs. Think it was $10 or $12 for 2 eggs plus $4 extra for 3 rock hard string ends of bacon. Not even a complete rasher of bacon. It was cold & the blunt knife could cut through it. Maybe a chain saw would have done a trick. My son got the $8 bacon & egg roll special. The roll was extremely hot unfortunate the cold hard boiled egg & yet again bits of bacon and minimal BBQ sauce. The free bottle of cold water in the fridge was great. The dirty glasses in the basket next to the fridge to use not so great. There are far more to places to choose from with cheaper options and better deals. Thanks 28 Cooley we won't be back.
I had a fantastic time at this restaurant! It had a relaxed atmosphere with a great energy. The view was spectacular and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. I wish we had a place like this in Canada. The latte I had was also very tasty. I am looking forward to returning. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience.
Today, The Strand at Coolangatta was a bit quiet, but the Japanese Noodle shop and Burger Shop were still bustling with people who had worked up an appetite at the beach. The side street behind also has great offerings, such as the delicious curried cauli and pakora from Govindas. It was authentic and tasty. I have a special connection to the Coolangatta strand as it reminds me of my childhood days spent by the beach. At the end of The Strand is Point Danger, the most eastern point of the Australian mainland. It offers a very scenic and peaceful environment.
