I didn't have high hopes for this small café on the way back from Cape Tribulation, but I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious my meal was.
This hidden gem is fantastic! The restaurant goes above and beyond by letting customers use the property's swimming hole.
The service was extremely poor - the staff seemed uninterested and disorganized. 2. The food was terrible - everything we ordered was overcooked and bland. 3. The prices were too high for the quality of food and service we received. 4. The atmosphere was unpleasant - the tables were dirty and the overall vibe was unwelcoming. Overall, a disappointing experience and not somewhere I would recommend to anyone.
This place is also known as the french brasserie and is hidden beside/behind the laundromatt . run by a delightful french couple, great coffee; big breakfasts; friendly atmosphere. was always crowded when we were there - great sign when the locals eat and drink there
Stopped in here a couple of times on a recent holiday and was pleasantly surprised. The lady who served us was lovely and the cafe had a nice view. The place was a bit hidden but worth finding this place the huge selection of pies and sausage rolls were the best I've ever had anywhere. Then all the French desserts where fantastic too. They did good breakfast and coffee as well. Anyone going to Cooktown look this this place up you won't be disappointed.
