We ordered the avocado on toast and It was one the best avo on toast I have eaten. Also the juice my partner order was very good, and the cappuccino wasn’t to bad either. P.s the name has change to Driftwood cafe. View all feedback.

Very nice little place on the main street of town paralleling the ocean Excellent Merlo coffee with the full range of choices.

Enjoyed a coffee there last visit but at moment seems to be all packed up and closed. Not sure if temporary, e.g. owner was away or more permanent closure?
We had breakfast at Driftwood Cafe on both days we spent in Cooktown. Loved the view out to the esplanade and the ambience. Staff were very courteous, and all the food was great. Would definitely recommend any of their freshly made juices, especially the 'rooted '.
I occasionally have breakfast at this restaurant, and they always exceed my expectations. The staff is friendly and welcoming, the food is delicious, and the view from the balcony is stunning.
