What User doesn't like about Grill Room:
went there for dinner in the consideration that they have two venues in the hotel stick with bar, the grill was not great had never had a soggy salat, but did not do very helpful staff tonight, whatever they ask that they do not, although it was not worth extra price was very disappointed, even if they ask and they tell them probleme nit reacts. We really don't get the negative reviews on this page, as our eating was incredible! we had a mixed grill that was absolutely cooked for perfection, and the salmon was beautiful. we thought the service and eating were worth a good review. we really enjoyed our meal and drinks and we will book 100% again. in any case the best meal we had in betws.
In the late afternoon for a bit in the grill room. was a bit insecure, which was expected after some of the negative reviews; but our meal was one of the best we had during our 3 overnight in Betws-y-coed. my man had the piri piri chicken putta, which had much spicy and came with mais on the cob, salat and chips that he enjoyed very much. I chose the chicken breast, which came with a large part of dauphinois kartoffeln and mixed veg. it was well cooked and very tasty. our waitress was beautiful and after a long day on snowdon it was nice to have a good delicious food.
The food was great, especially the creamy sauce! My partner ordered the chicken which was spicy, but it would have been nice to have more bread slices with the dish.
I would rate this restaurant between a 3 and a 4, leaning more towards a 4. The sweet rose wine was priced at £7.45 and was generous. However, the steak I ordered was overcooked and the lamb lacked spices, making it quite bland. My friend's peri peri chicken was dry. On the upside, the salad was enjoyable. The staff was polite and the starters, such as the meatballs and chicken skewers, were delicious. The service was quick, but overall the meal could use some improvement.
After a long day enjoying the scenery, we found ourselves in need of food. Unfortunately, it was a Sunday and almost 8 p.m. Luckily, we stumbled upon the barbecue room at the Royal Oak with our family of four. They quickly seated us and took great care of us. The service was outstanding and the food was delicious! My wife enjoyed the mountain lamb shank, while I had the cubed tandoori baked cod. The kids satisfied their appetites with the children's menu, having chicken and sausage links with fries and drinks. Overall, it was an excellent meal that we happened upon by chance. Highly recommended!
