Our tour guide (Raul from winetoursfrommadrid.com) is friendly with the owner, and what a nice experience they both made for us! The restaurant was actually not going to be open for lunch on the day of our visit, but the owner made a special point of opening just for us when he received Raul's call. We thought that was really excellent service. The restaurant creates job opportunities for the disabled, which is really impressive. Even more impressive is the heart that the staff put into their jobs and making eating here delicious and a great experience. We do not eat pork or shellfish, and the staff here really went out of the way to make sure we had a great meal even without those ingredients. For example, they were going to serve us a starter with manchego marinated in pork and then realized that would be a problem for us. That is pretty great attention to detail in my mind! Our main dish was an excellent local pistou. We also enjoyed a delicious chocolate dessert. This is a lovely, local place with a really nice menu.
