I had made a reservation in advance, and when I got... read more I have been to Toscana many times, but on my last visit I was very put off but the attitude of the manager. I had made a reservation in advance, and when I got to the restaurant (it had been raining that day but in...the meantime, the rain stopped when I got there), the hostess walked me and my mom to our table. The table was outside, which would have been fine, if it was not under a tree from which rain drops poured onto the table and the seats. It was the only outside table with no umbrella, and everything was wet. I told the hostess that we cannot sit there, and she shrugged and walked me to one of the managers. When I told this gentleman (Vali) that me and my guests cannot seat at the reserved table, in a very rude tone, he replied: So what do you want me to do about it? All other tables are reserved His attitude was very rude and uninviting, and if we were not supposed to meet other people there, I would have left the place never to return. I suggested, Can we stay inside He sighed deeply, as he was doing me a huge favor, and told me, Follow me Only another table was taken inside. We sat at a table and our friends joined shortly. The server was lovely and the food was good, but the bitter taste his rudeness left was enough to make me not want to return. For a pretty expensive restaurant, the service needs to be much improved. And yeah, I compare it to US standards. And I also compare it to the restaurant next door from them, Marco Polo, where the service has always been top notch.

We did not feel welcome at all, especially as staff were abrupt and almost forced us what to order. The guests seemed snobbish. The staff members stood in the hallway...and spoke loudly about their troubles. Children were playing loudly in the entrance of the restaurant.
